Here’s a favorite soup in our family. The Chinese-flavored broth is quite easy to make, and with the addition of a few veggies and long slurpy noodles, you’ll have a winner of a soup on the table in about a half an hour. Enjoy!

Just like my grandmother used to make, this soup transports me back to family gatherings, big meals, lots of food to eat, cousins running around everywhere, and loads of fun. When my grandmother served her chicken noodle soup, though, all activites came to a halt - except for the sound of everyone slurping up their [...]

I just love roasted vegetables. Roasting develops each vegetable’s essence, and softens and mellows it. What better combination than to add roasted vegetables to a soup? Today, I made an Italian-influenced soup with some of my favorite roasted vegetables, but you could substitute for your own personal favorites. It’s so much fun to experiment in [...]

This soup holds a place near and dear to my heart, as it was a family favorite that my grandmother would always make for us. With an ultra-fresh slice (or two) of challah bread, this is on my top 5 penultimate comfort foods list. The original recipe calls for 3-4 pounds of flanken, but I [...]

This is an incredibly easy soup to make, comes together quickly, and gets a great flavor from just a little bit of turkey bacon (I like to use turkey bacon because it has much less fat than regular bacon, but it’s big on flavor). Perfect soup for mid-January, in my humble opinion. Or any time [...]

This luscious recipe can be served as either a soup (a meal unto itself) or a stew. It is warm and hearty, a complete dish. You will never miss the beef - seitan provides the protein, texture, and the meat-like flavors that it cooks in. Enjoy!
