Yesterday, I got my inspiration from Baroness Tapuzina’s lovely blog, and this particular recipe just lured me right in. It is quite easy to prepare, and very high on flavor. Not to mention, it’s very healthful, too. Thank you Baroness, and I love your blog. Enjoy!

I was visiting the Equal Opportunity Kitchen the other day when I came across this recipe for stuffed turkey scallopini. It sounded sooo good I simply had to try it.  Giz, one of the blog’s co-authors, so adeptly explains the preparation of this dish, and this is only enhanced with some really great photos of [...]

Middle Eastern cuisine is a big favorite around here, and what could be tastier than some ground meat kabobs. I like to use either chicken or turkey, but traditionally beef or lamb is called for. Whichever meat you choose, you will find that the spices and herbs inside these kabobs create the kind of pleasing combination of flavors on [...]

Gefilte fish, those boiled fish balls that are traditionally served with horseradish at the Passover table, are not only a time-consuming and expensive proposition to make, recent studies have shown that the very fish we use for this dish may be coming from contaminated waters.
Not that all fish these days isn’t contaminated in some way, [...]

Yesterday, I tried another really great recipe from Norene Gilletz’ Healthy Helpings that I wanted to share. This really was a cinch to make. While it was marinating for 30 minutes, I roasted some brussel sprout on the side, and we all enjoyed a very South-Beach friendly dinner. Which is good, as I have begun preparations now [...]

Ok, ok. I admit it - I’ll say it loudly and boldly - I LOVE ROASTED GREEN BEANS. I can’t keep off of ‘em, either. There is just something so enticing about the roasting process - the way the delicious aroma permeates the house; the golden-browned glistening that roasting imbues to veggies; the cute little way that the [...]

After all the good eating I’ve done during this past week while I’ve been away, I am practically in a food coma. I came home and immediately knew that I needed to eat something wholesome, light, healthy, and cleansing. What could be better than an Israeli salad? Tangy and crunchy, fresh and just bursting with great flavors, [...]
