I’ve been wanting to try this tart from Joy of Baking for a while, but decided to wait until the weather cooled off. Well, here it is, our cool spell, with the perfect temps of highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Ahhh, fall!

And what speaks to fall more than apples? This was an easy tart to make – all mixing took place in the food processor! A snap. I modified this to reflect dairy-free alterations – margarine for butter, Tofutti cream cheese for the real thing.

This is simply a wonderful dessert to look at, and even better to eat. Enjoy!
